ESP-IDF Blufi Example
This demo shows how to use the Blufi to configure the Wi-Fi connection to AP.
The BluFi for ESP32 is a Wi-Fi network configuration function via Bluetooth channel. It provides a secure protocol to pass Wi-Fi configuration and credentials to the ESP32.
How to Use Example
Before project configuration and build, be sure to set the correct chip target using:
idf.py set-target <chip_name>
To test this demo, you need to prepare a mobile phone with blufi application installed. You can download the blufi application from Android version and iOS version.
Blufi is completely open source, here is the download link:
- Blufi source code
- BluFi protocol
- iOS source code
- Android source code
- Bluetooth Network User Guide CN
Hardware Required
- A development board with ESP32/ESP32-C3/ESP32-S3/ESP32-C2 SoC (e.g., ESP32-DevKitC, ESP-WROVER-KIT, etc.)
- A USB cable for Power supply and programming
See Development Boards for more information about it.
Build and Flash
Run idf.py -p PORT flash monitor to build, flash and monitor the project.
(To exit the serial monitor, type Ctrl-].)
See the Getting Started Guide for full steps to configure and use ESP-IDF to build projects.

Troubleshooting
For any technical queries, please open an issue on GitHub. We will get back to you soon.
Note
BluFi is currently in maintenance mode, and no new features are planned.
For new projects or when adding network_provisioning, we recommend using the network_provisioning.
